Camilo Angelo
Director, Writer & Producer
Based in London, UK
Born and raised in Bolivia, South America, Camilo Angelo moved to the UK at the age of 13 following his success as a young painter.
His interest in storytelling sparked at an early age following a desire to create original comic book stories. This passion for the visual arts ultimately became the bridge that led him to discover a passion for film.
Angelo first decided to try out his hand in filmmaking at the Northern Film School in Leeds. His first short "Man On Bike" was nominated for a Royal Television Society Student Award and has premiered at the Oscar-qualifying Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in Montana, US.
As a writer/director, Angelo's style takes elements of the fantastical while employing a natural and realistic approach, often focusing on themes of obsession, language, identity and acceptance.
